Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Model

Initial psychiatric interviews usually last about 60 minutes. We focus on the difficulty that brought you to our office and evaluate your signs and symptoms. The evaluation includes the use of standardized psychiatric rating scales.  We explore potential root causes of your condition, looking a generational factors, childhood and family issues, and stress or trauma in the present.

If needed, we can extend the evaluation to  addtional sessions. We can also include your spouse, sibling, parent, or child in a session.

Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Model

Psychiatric Medication Management

Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Model

We use a multidimensional for understanding your problem. Problems of living can be understood from 4 points of view: (1) biological, (2) psychological, (3) social or situational, (4) spiritual. Our office is unique! We address all four.

The biological perspective focuses on body physiology, hormonal status, neurochemistry, and neurocircuitry. The psychological perspective focues on our thoughts, emotions, attitudes/values, personality, decision-making. This includes self-talk, the ongoing conversation in our mind. The social/situational perspective focuses on connection to loved ones, school, work, church, community, and the larger society. The spiritual perspective focuses on our faith and relationship with God.
